Kids in the Kitchen
Kids in the Kitchen is an international initiative designed to address the growing problem of obesity among children.
 In 2007, over 250 Junior Leagues in four countries participated in the 2nd Annual Kids in the Kitchen project. On March 29th, Junior League of Norman members visited Eisenhower Elementary School to teach third and fourth graders about nutrition and exercise.
We taught children about making healthy food choices and provided kid-friendly recipes that they can take home. We also provided easy to assemble snacks available for the kids to prepare to show them that healthy food can still be fun food. Activities included games, science displays, and an activity contract that they can take home to encourage the whole family to become more active.
