Become a JLN Member!

JLN membership is open to all women that have a commitment and a passion for volunteerism.

Our members are very diverse in their backgrounds, education and experience. But we all have a common goal of giving to our community in an effort to make it a better place to live.

Are you a woman interested in volunteering and looking for an opportunity to improve the community in the Norman area?

The League offers applications for membership in March of each year. A prospective member shall be a minimum of 24 years of age on May 31 of the year she is proposed as a Provisional.

A prospective member shall possess an interest in voluntarism, commitment to community service, and interest in developing her potential for voluntary participation.

• Provisionals are members who enter a one-year training program in June of each year. Monthly meetings highlight JLN projects, hone volunteer skills, and build relationships. In May, upon completion of necessary requirements, provisionals are voted into active membership. Dues are $90 annually with a one-time fee of $40. More details

• Active members have successfully completed the Provisional training program. They have placement requirements as well as ways and means obligations. Dues are $90 annually. More details

• Associates are members who have completed a minimum of four years of activestatus, but have not reached Sustainer status requirements. They continue to support JLN financially. Dues are $120 annually. More details

• Sustainers are members who have completed a minimum of six years of Active and/or Associate status, and continue to support JLN financially. Dues are $70 annually. More details

• Emeritus members are those sustainers who have reached age requirements and are therefore relieved of any dues requirement. More details

• Non-resident members are those who live outside of the geographical area, but continue to support JLN financially. Non-resident sustainer dues are $70 annually and non-resident active dues are $90 annually. More details
