14 Sep LBDI Fundraiser- FINAL PUSH
Please make sure to keep sharing your campaign to friends and family!
The Little Black Dress Initiative is a week-long awareness and fundraising campaign that harnesses the power of social media to illustrate the restrictions that poverty places on choices, opportunities, and access to resources. The Junior League of Norman (JLN) helps to reduce obstacles and increase opportunities for vulnerable children and youth in Norman. The JLN supports around 440 food-insecure children during the school year with our Food for Kids program. Through the Baby Steps program, the JLN supports around 11 babies and 16 parents every school year.
During our campaign, advocates wear the same black dress (or outfit) for five consecutive days to spark conversations about and awareness of the needs of our community and JLN’s flagship programs Baby Steps, Food for Kids, and Done in a Day. Please join us for our inaugural campaign and help us meet our goal to raise $20,000 in 2020!
The Junior League of Norman is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
