VOTING NOTICE

Greetings,

The Junior League of Norman Board of Directors is proposing a dues increase for the 2023-2024 League year. The Board is offering this proposal after much discussion and analysis of the financial needs of maintaining an organization that adds value to our members at all levels.

The Board is proposing an increase of approximately 10% to Active, Sustainer, and Provisional Member dues for the 2023-2024 League year. The Board proposed this increase because of inflationary pressures the JLN is experiencing and an increase to the national AJLI dues for all provisional, active and sustaining members starting in 2024.

  • Currently: $135/year plus $40 AJLI Provisional fee
  • Proposed: $150/year plus $40 AJLI Provisional fee *

  (Note: *AJLI has not yet announced the exact dollar amount of the AJLI dues increase.)

Any proposed change to dues must be voted on by active members at the February General Membership Meeting (“GMM”) on February 7 at the Trails.

It is very important that a quorum of active members is present at the February 7 GMM in person (there will not be a virtual attendance option). In addition to voting on the proposed dues increase, our February GMM will feature important information about committee opportunities for next year in preparation for placing the 2023-2024 committees. This is your opportunity to learn what each committee’s responsibilities are, to understand details including the time commitments of each committee, and to consider what you want your path in the JLN to look like in the coming years.

You don’t want to miss the February 7 meeting! In addition to the placement information, the Board will raffle prizes to meeting attendees (you must be present to win)!
